In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it topped the charts for most streamed songs in just 6 months. The song was a mix of reggaeton and pop music that not only drew attention to Latin Music, but also reggaeton. In Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs that were mostly Spanish and in 2016 there were four. In 2017, at the peak of the popularity of Despacito the track was one of 19 that mainly Spanish were included in the Top 100. In 2020, it will have 41 songs that fall into this category. Justin Bieber's bilingual remix Despacito came out in the year 2017. Then, numerous popular artists started collaborating with reggaeton performers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna was a part of Maluma for the release of Medellin. The year 2000 saw a number of reggaeton stars were complaining about their genre's shift towards the mainstream but a new generation namely Rauw Alejandro was determined to ensure that reggaeton was evolving. Rauw Alejandro incorporated electronic dance forms and other genres into his songs.
