
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. Beginning her acting career by acting in stage productions while attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut in the role of Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and was a part of a Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. She then appeared in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and was awarded high praise for her performance in the drama TV film Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was the title role in the teen noir drama the television show Veronica Mars (2004-2007), receiving critical acclaim and the Saturn Award for Best Actress in Television for her performance. The character that she played in the 2014 movie was changed and was recast in the year 2019. Bell has been on the screen from 2007 to 2008 in the role of Elle Bishop in Heroes, which was a drama about superheroes. Bell was the voice of the titular narrator on the Teen Drama Series Gossip Girl. She will reprise her role in the sequel, which will premiere in 2021. Bell also starred as Jeannie van der Hooven, the female protagonist on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell was the main character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically highly acclaimed NBC comedy series The Good Place, receiving an Golden Globe Award nomination for her role. Bell also Bell played the role of the lead in streaming series The Woman in the House across the street from the Girl in the Window.
